So...we gave Alia her Christmas early. Or at least part of it. We may get her some stuff to actually open on Christmas too. She received a chair, a winter jacket, and a hat. We're still working on the hat part. She'll leave it on for awhile, but then take it off.
Laura and John have an Elmo chair at their house and whenever we go over there, Alia sits in it. So we bought her her own chair. Next we went to Old Navy because I wanted to find her a hat. Originally I wanted to get her one that strapped beneath her chin, but those were all too big. We found a cute purple striped hat instead. Then, B found these jackets which are lined for her to wear this winter. I haven't been able to get good pictures of her with her new things yet, but I'm working on it.

We went to Mountain Home for Thanksgiving. Even though she wasn't feeling very well, I think Alia had a good time.
Alia loves her Aunt Erin. She even took a nap with her on Friday when she wouldn't take one with Mommy. :(
We tried to play outside as much as we could. Alia met some horses for the first time. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of that.
Alia found a new favorite seat.
She even played video games with Uncle Caleb and Uncle Joseph.
This was a sweet moment early Thursday morning. Cuddling with Daddy.
More pictures to be on Facebook!

Alia just continues to be cute. There's not really much news to report. Becky taught Alia how to communicate that she wants more. That has been really interesting! It is a good thing though. :) We hung out with some friends last night, and I started to notice something. Every time we told Alia no or told her not to do something, she would lift up her shirt. As if she was trying to distract us. It was the cutest thing. I'm going to have to pay attention to see if she does it all the time.

Even though Alia is 1 year 3 weeks old, she had her 1 year appointment yesterday. Doc said she was perfect as usual. She weighs 22 lbs 2 oz (50-75th percentile) and is 30.5 in tall (90th percentile). Her head size is also 90th percentile. Alia now has three teeth on top and at least one coming in on the bottom. We had a pretty big scare last weekend. She fell down a flight of stairs, but she is fine. She had no bumps or bruises. An suggestions on what Alia should be for Halloween?

Alia is one today!! We had a party for her yesterday. She racked up some pretty nice booty. She received clothes for the fall/winter, books, and toys. Here are pictures from her party.
This is the Alia's cake that Michelle made. The rest of us ate cupcakes!
This is Alia in the middle of opening presents. She kept getting confused why I was giving her new toys and then taking them away. Also, I wanted to show you a pre-cake shot.
Singing Happy Birthday! Laura helped blow out the candles. Thanks Laura!
This was after she flipped her cake upside down. She has never had that much sugar in her life! There were about 4 people taking pictures of her. I like to think that in this picture she is trying to hide from the paparazzi.
Alia post-cake, but yet pre-shower.

By now, Alia is a full-time walker. I am so proud of her. She turns 1 in a couple weeks. I'm looking forward to her party. We're going to have a few friends and family over. We're also starting to transition her from formula to milk. She started back at daycare on Monday. She acts as if she never even left, but that is good. Oh yeah! B saw part of a tooth coming in tonight! I'll get a picture when it comes in more. I don't know if you guys care, but I sure do! :) It's her first one! Here's to hoping she doesn't wake me up between 5:00 - 6:00 tomorrow.

Alia had a good time at Grandma's house. She was a little skiddish of the dogs at first (she just had to remember them) and did not like the kitten. But then we bought a cat toy with feathers. She only liked the cat when she was holding that toy.
Sunday afternoon we went to the Butterfly Palace.
A butterfly actually landed on Alia.
Alia loved playing with Tess.
Here she is all packed up and ready to go home.
Between my mother and myself we bought her some new clothes, some new pajamas, and 2 pairs of shoes (1 brown and 1 black). She also hasn't had any baby food since we went down there. She's been eating real food cut up all weekend. She'll be 11 months on the 6th.

Wow...today was a busy day. We left at 9:00 to go up to school and help Aunt Michelle with her classroom. (I was too lazy to work in my own room).
Then we had lunch with Aunt Michelle and Aunt Becca.
Then we went swimming.
Then we went to The Mudroom.
Then we went to the grocery store.
Then we had hung out with and had dinner with Andy and Erica (and Jeremy). Alia and John played in the water table for a little bit.
Alia did two things today that she has never done before. Before bathtime with Laura and John, Alia had pulled up on the toilet. (1)She let go, squatted down, and stood back up without holding onto anything. The other thing she did was take some steps on her own. (2)She pulled up on the cabinets in Erica's kitchen and then took 5 or 6 steps without me. I'm so proud of her!
