B and I went shopping yesterday!
Here's a shelf we bought to have in the nursery. Here's a cool lamp we found at Target.
We also bought some storage shelves for the closet which you can see in their boxes still in the lamp picture. We also bought stain for the crib. Hopefully, we'll have that stuff up soon. Then I'll just have to worry about decorations!

33 weeks!

We had class #5 last night. We talked all about C-sections. How they do it, what to expect, how long it takes. (Then last night, I had a dream that I had to have a C-section like right now. Way to early for me.) We also briefly talked about how to take care of your bottom after birth. Our teacher had Similac diaper bags that she handed out to everyone. She had extra so many of us walked away with 2! There's only 1 more week left of class. Next week we'll talk about how to take care of your baby and stuff like that.

Changing TableRocker/Glider w/Ottoman
I had a breastfeeding class last night. It was very informative. I learned some things and also figured out that I will most likely be calling the lactation consultant sometime after the baby is born. :)

32 weeks down, 8 or less to go! We had an appointment yesterday and class #4. The appointment was normal and not exciting. Measure my belly and listen to the heartbeat. They are putting me on iron though. At class last night we talked about all the pain relief meds we could get while in labor and then did some more breathing exercises. The rest of our baby showers are coming up in August. There will be one for my coworkers and friends, one with B's coworkers, and one for church. I hope we get lots of things that we need...we don't actually have much yet except for clothes and blankets. B and I need to buy stain and get the crib set up. We're also going to buy a closet organizer soon (since we won't have a dresser b/c I didn't want one). That's all I can think of for now.

31 weeks! 9 left (if all goes as planned). I do have a picture of our changing table. I will get it up here sometime. I was sitting most of the day today at either a table or my desk at school and she was kicking the crap out of the table/desk. We had our third class last night. We started off by talking about all the monitors to watch the baby and you, and then discussed the different ways to induce. After that we practiced some more breathing (He-he-he-hoo). I couldn't really do that very well because I couldn't breathe through my nose. The last thing we did was tour the birthing center. We went by registration and OB triage, and then went upstairs to a labor and delivery room. One of the coaches was volunteered to show us all the different pushing positions on the bed. Then we went to a post-partum room (which I have seen before) and by the nursery. B and I ended the night with shakes from Steak-n-Shake. Yum!

Child-birth class #2...check!
Yesterday we had an appointment and our second class. The appointment was fine as always. Nothing weird is happening to me, so it was pretty standard. Measure my belly, listen to the heartbeat. The doctor did tell me that I passed the last glucose test I had (which I figured, but they were excited).
At class last night, we talked a lot about "pushing" (the baby and the placenta). We also talked about what the baby could look like and what is normal to see. Next we watched a video of 3 births. Not that bad. At the end we practiced a slow breathing technique and a relaxation technique. Next week is a tour of the hospital.
